Did you miss me?

Well... I missed you.
Life was all too confusing last week and LONG... man was it long.
Work was go go go (and really hard with that damn band-aid).
I'm still busy, but the level is much lower.
Lately it seems that everyone wants to get together and DO something... and I can't do it ALL people.
But I would like too.
This Saturday is the Gala at HSC and are you surprised that I'm volunteering? G will be with me and that will be fun.
I'm super sad to be missing the festivities at
Al's though... man that is going to be one fun BBQ, 1st of the season.
Nina (if you're reading I was so looking forward to finally meeting you... can we make other plans?).
I feel the need to make a list and it will be to the peeps that I LOVE.
Hana- hope you get to check me out! Love you madly and will miss you like CRAAZEEEE.
Jaime- are you still out there?
Sub- how about you? We are ALL still waiting for a new post. You promised!!! Plus I promised all these folks that you would post Easter pics of me... get a move on sister!!!
Al and Nina- I will so miss the festivities this Saturday but let us please plan a weekend soon!!!
Leah- I'll miss our quiet mornings together... but I'm here always babe.

BLLLPPPTTT!!!

Nuff said?
I'm crazy super busy right now. Work is nuts and will be all week, which means that the week after that....

WHOA! Karma is not my friend right now.
I just ran downstairs to carve the ultra delicious pork that has been cooking and producing the most mouth watering smells throughout this house. Not to mention that when I took it out to measure the temp it was a perfect roast.
So I ran down to carve the thing after letting it rest the requisite 10 minutes and I stabbed my hand. It is nice and deep little nick. Enough to be royally pissed about it... It hurts.

That is my blood soaked flesh colored bandage that now adorns my first finger.

Back to the post...
is going to be clean up week. Which in turns begins a vicious circle of catch up. I'm also on the verge of PMS (which is basically full PMS but in denial) and that ALL adds up to me being a really not nice person, as I try to always be.
And now of course... my bandaided finger. UGH!

My sister has a new camera and she was snapping away all morning long.
Enough for both of us. She took some cute ones of me so hopefully she will email them to me and I will post them.
It is really cold out and I'm HATING that. I really wanted to go for a walk... where is Spring already??

I used to be a BLONDE

This picture is from my birthday. That is me, my sister and my Mom.
I'm not a blonde anymore....
I went to get my hair done today and I decided to try to get back to my roots... :)
I picked a much darker color... one that I am not used to but totally ready for. It is a great color and I think... looks good on me. I asked my husband and all he could say (what he says EVERYTIME...) was... looks good.
I will take some pics at Easter and you can decide.

Funny story...
Right before G and I got married we moved back "home" here to Hartford. I was desperately trying to find a job so when a part time job opened up in my neighborhood at an awesome bakery... Great Harvest... I took it.
So it was very surprising when someone walked in that I went to college with. Here we were 60 miles away from our alma mater and she recognized me... BEST PART... she recognized me as "the one that always had different colored hair".
Nuff said.

Yup. Not lying. There are only a few days left.

One of the best too... Thursday is my hubby's birthday.
I'm trying to take him out to dinner to celebrate and maybe some other surprises... I'll never tell in case he decides to read this. We'll see.



Nothing else to report. Missin' some folks...(Ali... love the update... totally missing you!!!) really this cold weather has got to STOP. I'm sick of it already.
Wednesday is supposed to be nice... we'll see.
The next couple of weekends are jam packed with stuff to do, much to my sadness... nothing super fun either.
Wait, I take that back... Easter will be great because we are with my family for Brunch (and I love love love to go out for brunch).
We'll see what else April has to bring.

13 Year Anniversary

My sister, Susanna and her hubby Edward celebrated 13 years married this past weekend. Leah and I spent the weekend babysitting at their house while they were away for the weekend. It was our gift to them for Christmas.
FUN, but I was glad to come home to non snotty noses and diapers.

Now I'm starting to have the snotty nose and I'm cursing that cutie!!!
No way. They are all so cute and fun and I keep finding myself smiling for no reason but it is because I remember something they said or did that was HILARIOUS.


Julianna was walking around with one eye closed right before this picture because she was a PIRATE. Hilarious!!!

I've been trying to write this entry for days so it will be unusually long because I feel like I have so much to say and so much has happened. But not really much at all. We had another snow storm this past weekend... so it is MARCH and we have a foot of snow to deal with. The March sun is strong though and it is supposed to get to 60ish degrees, so that will help.

Last weekend we had friends over for Chinese take-out, Starbux martinis and Trivial Pursuit... the boys finally WON.

Figure out yourself why the pic is blurry... heehee... I was TOO EXCITED about the martinis.

On Sunday Greg and I and a bunch of Hartford Stagers did the O'Hartford run/walk and I was dead last for most of the walk and I don't care... it was the kick-off to walking season; despite the snow we just got.

Just now I had a super delicious, tasted like it came from a restaurant dinner cooked by my wonderful husband... I wish I took a picture of it before I ate it but I will let you know it really was delicious.
